Michael Craig-Martin was commissioned to design 'Street Life' by the Docklands Light Railway for their new extension at
Woolwich Arsenal in South East London, a transport infrastructure project in preparation for the 2012 Olympic games. The task
for Manor Ceramics was to recreate the work using 30cm square tiles over three adjacent walls of complex shape, covering
an area of 265 square metres. Details are available by clicking the button below.

Before production, a significant amount of iterative and collaborative work involved sampling and colour development and
design modicifications in order to meet Michael's exacting standards and to ensure that his design was accurately reflected in
the ceramic medium.
